As specific references related to remedial systems installation, BGT has completed multiple field pilot tests for in situ groundwater remediation in the past three years. These tests include several month ISCO pilots for organic chemicals, with ozone injection and reagent dosing at a fine chemical production site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another successful pilot test \u2013 central Hungary region &#8211; was performed for dissolved organic impact in groundwater in 2016-2017. Based on the results, BGT is upgrading the system now into a full scale groundwater remediation system installation with a row of plumefront capture wells, followed by the treatment of the extracted water, and also combined with in situ ISCO treatment within the plume area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key information on project experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Major US based manufacturer, production site in east Hungary \u2013 Site Investigation and remedial design of the plant area for a variety of organic and inorganic compounds in soil and groundwater. <strong>Production building audits, construction material sampling and equipment sampling, waste categorization.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fine chemistry plant in central Hungary &#8211; Second opinion on the site investigation and remedial approach for the impacted groundwater, followed by a diagnostic campaign using state-of-the-art, real-time profiling of the vertical distribution of heavier-that-water contaminants in the aquifer. Typical projects include the site investigation, quantitative risk assessment and setting remedial targets, negotiate with regulators for acceptance, remedial design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Added value<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of our services, we offer Environmental Liability Management and Quantitative Risk Assessment services to rank priorities, to define both technically and economically reliable targets and cut unnecessary costs. We have real life experience in developing risk assessments, risk-based action plans and programs what we call a Road Map to Environmental Compliance. Risk based approach is getting more and more accepted by regulators in Hungary. BGT Hungaria is a leading company in quantitative risk assessment and risk-based planning in Hungary \u2013 our lead specialists were compiling the official Manual of Risk Assessment issued by the Ministry for Environment. Setting up such programs require high level proficiency in environmental consulting, experience in dealing with local authorities and background in Environmental Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BGT Hungaria is active in the application of in-situ risk mitigation in direct project as well as in R&amp;D programs. Our activities include the pilot application of ISCR and ISCO methods as well as microbiological processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In projects with tens of thousands of individual records, the data handling and interpretation is critical. We have created and are using a GIS based relational geodatabase for improved data interpretation and handling.
